To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we launched the “Free a Tree” Challenge, a community initiative to rescue 250 trees from invasive vines by July 4th. Participants remove harmful climbing vines from trees and submit before-and-after photos through our website to help track progress and identify areas most in need of attention.
Invasive vines threaten forest health by strangling trees, blocking sunlight and airflow, trapping moisture that can lead to rot, and increasing the risk of trees falling during storms. By mobilizing volunteers to take simple, hands-on action, the project helps restore native forests while raising awareness about the impacts of invasive species and the importance of local stewardship.
Join us in pushing back against invasive species and giving our trees a chance to thrive. Let freedom ring!
